Due to the government guidelines around public gatherings, this program will be offered Virtually.

Women entrepreneurs start companies a twice the rate of men yet those with women CEOs receive only 2% of VC funding. Join us for a lively discussion of existing and emerging financing resources for women entrepreneurs. The program will feature women and men at the forefront of supporting and sponsoring women entrepreneurs, covering their funding needs and available resources. The focus of their conversations will be on (1) what has changed, (2) what still needs to be done, and—most importantly—what should (3) women business owners do NOW in The New Normal to address this long-standing financing dilemma.

Join us virtually for an insightful moderated panel discussion, moderated by CFE President Marie Winters.

Panelists:

·         James H. Lowry, Senior Advisor to The Boston Consulting Group and a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Hall of Fame inductee who has dedicated his career to advancing women and MBE entrepreneurs.

·         Jennifer Brandel, Co-founder, Zebras Unite; CEO of Chicago-based Hearken; Founder, NPR’s (WBEZ-Chicago) Curious City.  Zebras Unite is a founder-created and founder-led movement calling for a more ethical and inclusive movement to counter existing startup and venture capital culture.

·         Loretta McCarthy, Managing Partner, Golden Seeds, one of the most active early-stage investment firms in the U.S., focused solely on equity investing in women-led businesses.
