CFE was founded in 1980 as the premier network for accomplished women leaders in finance in Chicago. The organization began with just 25 members and has grown to more than 200 today.
Chicago Finance Exchange (CFE) is a community of women leaders in finance dedicated to exchanging ideas, experiences and expertise for the success of our members, and the betterment of our community and the global marketplace.
• To actively explore and share ideas and expertise important to today's financial decision makers
• Create a professional and personal community resource within its engaged member base
• To contribute ideas, expertise and talent to the Chicago and global business community
CFE is member led and organizes itself via two important components. The first is its Exchanges, which are the forums that bring members together around five high level topical areas to share their ideas, expertise, and experience. The Exchanges generate the content which CFE programs are then developed and executed. Programs include professional speakers, intimate networking events, informal social, and philanthropic activities. The second component is CFE Committees, which provide the necessary organization and program support to CFE and its member activities. Both successfully come together to create programs and activities critically relevant to CFE's engaged membership base.
Membership is by invitation only. Our membership is comprised of female
financial executives in high-level, senior management positions in the
Chicago metropolitan area. Members include chief financial officers,
treasurers, commercial and investment bankers, money managers,
attorneys, CPAs, venture capitalists, financial consultants, financial
writers and entrepreneurs, representing both national and local
organizations. Learn more about membership in CFE.
