Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women in the U.S., complicit in roughly 20% of all deaths. Additionally, women can have very different kinds of heart and vascular disease experiences than men and therefore face unique risks. What makes women’s hearts different? What factors as women should we be informed about to promote good heart health?
