Registration

Grab your glasses and join Cedar Stoltenow, of Château de Pommard, on a virtual journey along the world-famous wine road, the “Route des Grand Crus”. During these challenging times, it’s difficult to travel, so let’s explore Burgundy together with a curated selection of our best holiday wines. Learn how Burgundy’s star grape varieties, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, express themselves across the region’s rich maze of villages and terroirs. Pick up some of our suggested cheese and charcuterie pairing options for
the full tasting experience, right in your home.

Cost: $55 per person/tasting kit. Registration closes November 19 at 5pm to allow time for shipping from France.

Your order includes a tasting kit containing 2 oz. pours of each of their 6 featured wines.
Tasting kits cannot be shipped and will be available for pick-up on December 8 and 9. In addition to a downtown loop location, CFE is coordinating pick-up options in the suburbs.

You can also purchase full bottles to have on hand for the tasting directly through our host, Cedar Stoltenow. Deadline to purchase full bottles is November 19 at 5pm for direct shipment from France. Minimum of three bottle order required.

ABOUT CEDAR STOLTENOW
Cedar originally moved from Fargo to France in 2006 to spend a year learning French, and finally left in 2012 to pursue her education and career in Artificial Intelligence.
However, after several years in the field, she decided to abandon the robots for the even more complex study of wine. Cedar spent a harvest in New Zealand, interned with
Knightsbridge Winery in Napa Valley, and passed her WSET 3 in 2018. In 2019, she started Un Pot de Vin, offering sommelier and wine consultant services in Chicago, and writing for wine publications around the world. Cedar joined Château de Pommard full-time in January 2020, and today she is based in Chicago, traveling frequently to France and working on her WSET Diploma. She appreciates the chance to read, write, talk, and drink wine with people from around the world.

ABOUT CHÂTEAU DE POMMARD
Founded in 1726 by Vivant Micault, secretary to King Louis XV, Château de Pommard remains one of the most iconic and visited wine estates in Burgundy. Clos Marey-Monge, at the heart of the domain, has been producing one of the greatest expressions of Pinot Noir for more than two millennia. The 20-hectare clay- and limestone-rich terroir makes it the largest and most interesting monopole vineyard in the Côte d’Or. In July 2015, UNESCO declared the Clos a world heritage protected climat of Burgundy. The Carabello-Baum family of San Francisco purchased the domain in 2014 and became just the fifth family to guide the estate in almost 300 years. The family has transformed the estate into the ultimate wine education destination where anyone can experience the phenomenon that is Burgundy.
